On Saturday, December 3, 2016 Leslie’s Music Studio presented our annual Winter Recital at Schmitt Music in Overland Park. Students played pieces in a variety of styles, including Christmas and holiday, classical, and contemporary.
Students traced their hands on green paper before the recital and we made this fun piano hands wreath!
Every year, the Olathe Music Teachers Association (OMTA) hosts an Honors Recital showcasing some of Olathe’s finest student musicians. Students must be nominated by their teacher for this honor. On October 29, 2016, Leslie’s Music Studio joined with the studios of Julie Bosworth and Liza Zumbrunnen to present a Halloween Recital for students in grades K-5 at Cedar Lake Village retirement community.
Leslie’s Music Studio held it’s annual Winter Piano Recital Saturday, December 5th at 11:00 AM at Schmitt Music in Overland Park. Eleven students were present and performed works of all genres including some Christmas songs, showcasing the pieces they learned this semester in piano lessons. Continue reading
Leslie’s Music Studio was proud to nominate Nathan Byard to perform in this year’s OMTA Honors Recital. Nathan is a freshman at Olathe East High School. He has been playing piano since he was five years old. He also enjoys playing golf and the violin. Continue reading
Each year, OMTA (Olathe Music Teachers Association) holds a number of Halloween Recitals in our community. Students grade 5 and under have the chance to dress up in their costumes and play a spooky song for residents of local senior living centers. These recitals are a blast for children and audiences alike!
This year LMS students performed at Aberdeen Village along with the students of Liza Zumbrunnen. Some of our performers included Medusa, a colorful monster, a zombie princess, and Cat Woman!
